I think so. I am still tweaking security settings, so I'm not sure if we'll have attachments permanently. We also have polls. The biggest changes are probably from my end, with a vastly improved admin panel and lots more options (including improved support for moderators). I still have to log in with all my varied usernames and see what's visible where.

Ok, now I'm talking to myself...pathetic, really.

I think I have the redirect set up from the old forum to make a seamless jump to this one. I've hidden a few secret goodies here and there, now I am just in the process of cleaning up the server a bit before I fall down...I loathe working with perl, chmodding, and digging through the bowels of my server to root out those last few bugs (yes, that was vivid, chilluns).

By the way, user images/avatars are maxing out at 200x300. Sorry, folks, it's the way the .css style sheet crumbles. If I find a workaround, I'll do it, but I've been going on this since 6AM and I ain't gonna last much longer (you can tell I'm fried when I start sayin' things like "ain't gonna").

I can hear you breathing out there.........POST something. Anything so I can see how things run and what needs to be fixed...

Nice change, Madame Webmistress!  Thanks for all of the hard work!  I know it's not easy, cause I dabble at it as the Clann of the Wolf webmaster.  By the way, did you get a chance to change the URL for the Clann of the Wolf website in the Clan Cameron listing as I requested a while back? ::)

Dang it...I'll tell you what I told young Mr. Buchanan about HIS update:

I went on vacation at the end of October (groupie road trip ::) ), and when I got back, I was buried under a landslide of work. Between the forge and the animal shelter, I haven't had time to get anything done...then my laptop gave up the ghost and I got snagged up trying to build/configure something new...and then this forum problem compounded my woes.

Happy to say, I am gradually getting through the backlog, and hope to be caught up by the end of this month. And, as I said to Young Mr. Buchanan, I will put YOU on the top of the pile.

I didn't forget, the to-do pile just got the best of me.

No problem, my dear, as I said your efforts on this website are very much appreciated and enjoyed, and I know from reading most if not all of your posts that you have a whole lot of other pans on the fire.  What you can, when you can!

Note: If you are having trouble remembering your password, use the "Forgot Password" button. Enter either your user name or the email address that you signed up with, and the software will send you a link to a window that resets your password and lets you sign in (you can then go and change your password by using the "profile" button at the top of the page). If that doesn't work, email me direct and I will manually reset your password and mail it to you.

I know, it's a pain to get new software up and going, and to remember your old passwords, but trust me, the administration/moderation panel is SO much better...I can do things in one step now that used to take three.

Thanks much for making the change, and it works great!  But where's the beer?  I have been looking for it everywhere, and so far have come up dry!   :-?

In the box at left of text entry, entitled "More Smilies" use the drop-down menu and select "beer," which will show the little beer dude. Click on him, and he gets inserted into your message. Voilà...beer.

Oh Young Mr. Buchaaaaanan...your update is done and on the main page! Feel free to post that info in "Events and Goings-on," as well!

Ok...now off to the rest of this stuff. Told you guys you were on the top of the pile!

I like it!  Though, oddly enough, my signature got altered during the changeover (apparently) and I've had to re-do it.... [smiley=huh.gif]

But, it was a HUGE conversion. It wasn't just an upgrade, it was a new install and then converting the old files and transfering them into the new software...so there was a LOT going on there.
