Ok, here's the NEW rules, dictated by spammers.

New Users: Register using the "Registration" button. You will get an email with instructions on how to activate your account. Activation must be completed within 2 hours of registration. Once you activate your account, you will recieve an email with a random password so you can sign in (you can change your password via the "profile" panel once you sign in). At that point, send me a PM or an email and I will do a magic thing to unlock your account so that you can post. My turnaround is usually less than 12 hours when notified by email, 24 when notified by PM. It's long and annoying, but the spammers say we gotta do it this way. Once I get a handle on the traffic, I may change the draconian signup process, but that's how it is.

When the forum was converted to new software, I did NOT allow former members who had posted one time or less posting privileges in the new forum. Your account is still there, but you can't post anything until I unlock you. Again, email or PM me, tell me who you are, and I will do the secret unlocking ritual.
