I just out down Culloden and last clans man...by James Hunter... quite the read....i was sure what to expect....i have read hunters a dance called america and glencoe and Indians
But this one was new to me...It covers the Colin Campbel murdercase...from its begining...to its outcome with the execution of James of the Glen...but to tell the history of that event you have to know the story of the Stewarts of Appin..
and how they were raised durring the 45..(admittedly not one of strong points)Hunter spells out a seemless history tof the Stewarts of Appin while at the same time telling the tale of James of the Glen...I highly recomend it...
