The avatar situation is getting out of control. I had deliberately removed the size constraints on the avatars (the default size is 72x72) so that people could have more freedom to be creative, but the photos are getting so large that it is causing  formatting problems and loading issues (and in some cases, people have added a drain on MY data transfer rate that I can ill afford just now). I've not had any luck with individual requests to reduce file size, so here is one last try to salvage the avatar feature:

Effective October 17, 2003, maximum avatar size will be set to 200x300 pixels (if your graphic is larger, it will be distorted when the software tries to fit it all into the size limit). Please adjust your graphics files accordingly.
