I saw an interesting take on the highlandcharge the other day on a show that was produced by the history channel...In any case  the front ranker hand his firelock
in his right hand holding it at the swell and the targe in his left when he was prepared to fire he brought up the fire lock to the triger and tilted the targe so it was facing the ground and laid the fire lock on the back while
he gasped the swell with his hand...he then fired laid his fire lock down drew his dirk then Claymore....

Any documentation this? i have always just fired grounded firelock then unhooked my targe then drew weapons...but this does seem like it takes alot less time..coments?
