I have recently begun portraying an 18th century Scottish Presbyterian vicar, and am looking for an authentic copy of a pre-1745 Geneva Bible and the Scottish Psalter.  I
have found many Geneva Bibles on Ebay, but the price either starts or ends beyond my means.  I have found new reproductions, but again the price is higher than I can afford.
If anyone knows of or comes across a source for either, please let me know.
Also, if anyone has information on what an 18th century Scottish Presbyterian vicar, particulary of the Highlands, might have worn, that would be very much appreciated as well.
Thanks.
Alba aye.

I can't be too much help on the books, at least not immediately.

However, try looking at George Campbell (1719-1796)  of Aberdeen.  A brief bio and portrait can be found at

http://www.electricscotland.com/history/other/campbell_drgeorge.htm

Further info on the portrait at

Hope that helped in some way.
